We are looking for a highly motivated Embedded System Intern to join our team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to work on multifaceted projects that bridge both hardware and software aspects of embedded systems. As an intern at InsituMicron, you will play a crucial role in the development of our testing equipment while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic startup environment. Responsibilities 1. Collaborate with our engineering team to design and develop embedded hardware systems, including sensor interfaces and control circuits. 2. Develop and maintain firmware and software applications for embedded systems, ensuring seamless communication between hardware components. 3. Participate in the integration of hardware and software components, conducting testing and troubleshooting to ensure system functionality. 4. Maintain comprehensive documentation of hardware and software design, modifications, and testing procedures. 5. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to improve our product offerings. 6. Work closely with team members, including mechanical engineers and researchers, to align embedded system development with overall project goals. Qualifications Current final year or passout in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Strong foundation in embedded systems, including hardware design and embedded software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, python and experience with embedded development tools. Experience in robotics/embedded systems or related college projects (preferred) Familiarity with microcontrollers, sensors, data acquisition and data processing Experience in working with STM32 microcontrollers is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Enthusiasm for hands-on work in a research and development setting. Duration: This full-time internship is a 3 to 6 month position, with the possibility of getting a full-time job offer based on performance and mutual interest.
