Position Name: Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO)Reports To: Managing Director (MD) Location: Class A Business Center in Powai, Mumbai Employment Type: Full-Time on-siteWHO WE ARE:International Pharmaceutical company INNOVA HEALTHCARE (part of EssGen Group) with offices in Mumbai & Hyderabad, India and in Moscow, Russia. We have several business lines:- API and Intermediates distribution from India (80%), China, Thailand, and South Korea (together 20%);- Columns, Reference and Working standards, impurity supply to CIS market via our own distribution company in Russia;- Technology development at our own state-of-art 7000 sq.ft. RnD center in Hyderabad;- CMO of developed technologies as part of backward integration process;Company is actively developing in all business lines by (i) developing new APIs; (ii) commercializing them at CMO and further marketing; (iii) entering new markets across the Globe with own APIs and distribution of APIs from our existing and new partners.Our company enters a new stage of development and allocating Business Development department at Indian HQ in order to expand globally. With existing business in CIS and some other countries, responsibility of BD deppartment is to expand company presence globally in different regions.We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented CBDO to drive growth in our API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) business. The ideal candidate will be managing both purchase and sales aspects, responsible for identifying new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with key clients, and developing strategic partnerships. This role requires a thorough understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in API source, sales, and distribution.Key Responsibilities:SOURCING:Effectively manage sourcing departments for all discstribution businessStreamline process of Best offer in the market policyFind strategic partners-manufacturers of API to represent them all over the worldArrange sourcing process not only in India, nut also in China and other countriesSigning Exclusivity and CPA agreements with manufacturersBUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Conduct market research to identify potential customers, competitors, and new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical industryGenerate leads for API saleAchieve high conversation rate to actual salesClient relationship managementSales strategy development depends on country/therapeutic group/productNegotiation and contract managementParticipate in exhibitionsStreamline cooperation between Sourcing and Business Development deptsQualifications:Knowledge: Strong understanding of APIs from both perspectives: source and sales, main players in the world, their market demand, and the regulatory landscape of the pharmaceutical industry. Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the pharmaceutical or chemical distribution industry.Skills:Proactiveness, finding opportunity in every case.Ability to find any molecule / contact / etc.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend conferences, and participate in industry events.
