Key Responsibilities: Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management Identify and onboard transport service providers. Negotiate contracts, rates, and SLAs. Build and maintain long-term supplier relationships. Inland Logistics Support Resolve challenges in container, car, and parts transportation. Ensure smooth coordination with internal teams and vendors. Bidding Process Establishment Design and manage transparent bidding processes. Prepare RFQs/RFPs and evaluate vendor proposals. Ensure compliance with procurement policies. Long-Term Logistics Strategy & Planning Support logistics network optimization and capacity planning. Align transport strategy with overall supply chain goals. Cost Optimization Analyse freight spend and identify savings opportunities. Benchmark rates and implement cost controls. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure adherence to legal, safety, and environmental standards. Mitigate risks related to delays, damages, and liabilities. Data Analysis & Reporting Maintain procurement data and generate performance reports. Use analytics for continuous improvement. Skills Required: environment. Proficient in English Strong geographical knowledge of India and logistics routes. Excellent negotiation skills and vendor engagement. Deep understanding of the Indian logistics industry and vendor ecosystem. Proficiency in transport management systems, ERP tools, and MS Excel.
