POSITION SUMMARY: Oversees all accounting functions and associated information systems to comply with Indian and US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Leads the accounting function to provide timely and accurate financial and statutory reporting. Recommends and implements improvements to accounting systems and processes to ensure efficiency. Problem solving SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the direction of the APAC controller and Global CFO SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Direct supervision of the Finance & Accounting team and Company Secretory MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Certified Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant with a minimum of ten or more years of performing or managing general accounting functions (e.g. general ledger, receivables, payables, financial consolidation and reporting, (information systems). Excellent oral and written communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills are required to relate to management and staff. ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES: 1. Supervise day to day activities of the Finance Department. 2. Preparation of monthly financial results in compliance with US and Indian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) 3. Annual budget preparation & budgetary control. 4. Review monthly MIS & variance analysis and assessment of impact of variance and volume projections on overall expenses & Profit. 5. Responsible for forecasting and month end reporting. 6. Familiarity with financial consolidation systems. 7. Product costing with overheads for Local, Intercompany & Export Sales. 8. Gross Margin Analysis & reporting; product-wise & customer-wise. 9. Cash flow - Review and Analyze cash flow statements for the business based on actual & forecast. 10. Capex management – RFQs, Proposal, approvals. monitoring spend & capitalization of assets. 11. Responsible for accounts payable and receivables. 12. Credit Control – Setting credit limits for Customers & Dealers as per Global policies. 13. Audit and compliances - Ensure full compliance with Local & Group policies, audit requirements, internal controls etc. 14. Ensure Company Secretarial compliance as per Company and other related Acts. 15. Working closely with Supply Chain, Production, logistics for procurement and inventory management. 16. All Direct & Indirect Tax Compliances (Income tax, Goods & Service Tax, PT, PF, TDS etc.) 17. Keeps abreast of Infor ERP system functionality and processes 18. Assists CFO with special projects. 19.
