Individual & Societies Teacher (MYP & DP)

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Individuals & Societies subjects (such as History, Geography, Economics, Global Politics) that align with IB MYP and DP standards.
• Design and implement assessments that reflect the IB’s criteria-based evaluation and support academic integrity.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs, abilities, and interests.
• Guide students through MYP projects (e.g., Community Project, Personal Project) and support extended essays or internal assessments in the DP.
• Use inquiry-based, student-centered pedagogy to promote critical thinking, global awareness, and intercultural understanding.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units and contribute to curriculum review and development.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and IB training workshops.
• Support the school’s mission and values, and contribute to extracurricular activities and school life.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Valid teaching certification/license.
• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience, ideally in an IB MYP and DP .
• IB training (MYP and/or DP) is highly desirable.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Passionate about inquiry-based learning and international education.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience as an IB Examiner or Coordinator is an advantage.
• Experience with digital teaching tools and platforms (e.g., ManageBac, Google Classroom).
• Ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Commitment to continuous professional growth and collaboration.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
