We are seeking a passionate Zoology candidate to join our team as a Stray Dog Shelter Coordinator. This position involves managing small shelter for first aid by using dedicated animal safety App and web platform to enhance public awareness, engagement and responsible stray dog management. The candidate can combine their zoological knowledge with strong outreach and communication skills to improve the welfare of stray dogs. The Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the stray dog shelter and train the shelter staff on the animal safety App and web platform. The role requires good organizational and communication skills, as well as a passion for animal welfare. Key Responsibilities: To manage small stray dog shelter. To act as a key advocate for animal safety App and web platform by educating communities about its purpose and benefits. To conduct outreach activities to promote the use of App for reporting, rescuing and tracking stray dogs. To collaborate with NGOs, Animal Welfare Groups and Municipal Corporations to encourage the App adoption. To collect and analyze feedback from App users to identify areas of improvement and report insights to the team. To train the shelter staff and volunteers on the use of animal safety App and web platform. Required Qualifications: Bachelors’ / Masters’ Degree in Zoology, Animal Science, Veterinary Science or Environmental Science. Prior 4-5 years’ experience in animal care, shelter operations or a related field. Experience with dog behaviour, training and basic veterinary care is a plus. Skills & Competencies Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and with a diverse group of people, including volunteers, staff and community members. Passion for animal welfare and a commitment to improving the lives of shelter animals. Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes physically demanding environment. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Comfort working with animals, including handling dogs of various sizes and temperaments. Strong understanding about animal welfare practices. Ability to advocate effectively and passionately for stray animal welfare App promotion. Comfortable using digital tools and mobile applications. Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
