Company Description The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is the premier body in India for the formulation, coordination, and promotion of biomedical research. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India, for a Biosafety Facility Specialist. The Specialist will be responsible for assist in the program of Certification of various BSL-3 facilities . The core responsibilities to review the applications, conducts expert committee meetings, manage documentation, records, database etc. Key day-to-day tasks include overseeing laboratory activities to ensure compliance with biosafety standards, conducting risk assessments, providing biosafety training, and managing emergency response procedures. The Specialist will also be responsible for collaborating with researchers, providing technical support, and maintaining accurate records of biosafety compliance. Qualifications Experience in biosafety protocols and procedures Technical skills in laboratory safety and emergency response management Ability to conduct risk assessments and provide biosafety training Strong organizational and record-keeping skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in standard office software and tools Master's degree in a related field such as Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Public Health Proven experience in laboratory commissioning and validation Experience working in a research or healthcare environment is a plus
