Hiring: Senior Python Developer Trading & Energy Markets

Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable, object-oriented Python applications
  
• Leverage Python constructs like classes, lambda expressions, list comprehensions
  
• Develop RESTful APIs using

  FastAPI

• Write robust

  unit tests (Pytest)

  and

  functional tests (Cucumber/Gherkin)

• Work with

  SQL Server

  and perform data wrangling using

  Pandas

• Collaborate with traders, risk teams & analysts to deliver production-ready solutions
  
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, peer code reviews, and CI/CD using

  Azure DevOps

• Ensure code quality, version control, and deployment best practices
  

Mandatory Skills:

• 8+ years of

  hands-on Python development

  experience
• Strong understanding of

  OOP

  , list comprehensions, lambda expressions
• Proficiency with

  SQL

  (preferably SQL Server)
• Testing experience:

  Pytest

  ,

  Cucumber/Gherkin

• RESTful API development using

  FastAPI

• Experience in

  Agile/Scrum

  teams
• Familiarity with

  Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines

Nice to Have:

• Experience in

  Energy Trading / Commodities / Financial Markets

• Domain knowledge: Physical commodities, global trade, risk exposure
  
• Familiarity with

  Athena, Beacon, Quartz

  or similar platforms
• Workflow automation via Azure DevOps
  
• Exposure to working with

  traders and risk professionals

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelors/Master’s in

  Computer Science, Engineering

  , or related fields

• Python/Cloud certifications
