Role Overview: As a skilled Senior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows Server environments, managing and optimizing VMware vSphere infrastructure, and performing Azure Administration tasks. You will collaborate directly with application teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability. Additionally, you will support server migrations and cloud adoption initiatives, implement system security protocols, backups, and disaster recovery plans, and proactively identify and resolve system performance issues. Occasional travel to client plants across the U.S. for onsite support and projects may be required. Key Responsibilities: - Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments (versions 2008 through 2025). - Manage and optimize VMware vSphere infrastructure (version 8.x). - Perform Azure Administration tasks, including resource provisioning, monitoring, and security management. - Collaborate directly with application teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability. - Support server migrations and cloud adoption initiatives, leveraging River Meadow experience. - Implement and maintain system security protocols, backups, and disaster recovery plans. - Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues. - Perform occasional travel to client plants across the U.S. for onsite support and projects (most work will be in Durham, NC). Qualification Required: - Experience in Windows Server administration (2008-2025). - Strong background in VMware vSphere administration (8.x preferred). - Hands-on experience with Azure Administration in enterprise environments. - Experience with River Meadow migration tools or similar technologies. - Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. - Proven ability to work collaboratively with application teams and cross-functional stakeholders. - Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills. - Ability to travel occasionally for on-site support at remote facilities.
