Animator & Rigger Mentor We are a growing VFX studio based in Indonesia, specializing in VFX for Japanese films. To enhance our expertise, we are seeking an experienced Supervisor with experience in Hollywood film productions to mentor and direct our artists, particularly in the field of Animation. Responsibilities : Providing Autodesk Maya & Blender Software Training for Film and Advertising needs, from basic to advanced in an easy-to-understand manner. Priority is given to provide teaching on Animation & Rigging in various styles (realistic, cartoonish, stylized, etc.). Teaching the right way to make proper Animation and Rigging to support our VFX Studio. Able to provide solutions for integration from Autodesk Maya to Blender or vice versa. Providing effective and efficient teaching to in-house Animators & Riggers to enhance individual skills. Providing insight into the experience as an Animator and Rigger in the world of global cinema. Skills & Requirements : - Mastery of animation and rigging using Blender and Maya software - Mastery of animation principles and the ability to apply them flexibly, especially in realistic or semi-realistic character animation - Mastery of animation workflows and pipelines - Problem-solving: the ability to address animation issues independently of tools - Adaptability: the ability to adjust animation style to suit the project (realistic, cartoonish, stylized, etc.) - Mastery and understanding of the anatomy and deformation of living creatures - Ability to create rigging that facilitates animators (controllers and sliders) - Ability to adapt rigs to animation styles (cartoonish, realistic, etc.) - Ability to mentor junior animators and riggers, then review the results Job Description : - Responsible - Collaborative & Communicative - Willing to provide weekly reviews individually or in groups (remotely via GMeet or Zoom) - Assist in designing training assignments and providing feedback - Willing to answer questions online via chat (Google Chat) - Part-time: approximately 5-10 hours/week - Work remotely only - Paid hourly/weekly (flexible) If you're interested, please send us a DM with: - Your most recent CV - Portfolio link - Hourly rate - Available hours per week We’re excited to receive your applications.
