The Assistant Design Engineer supports design and engineering activities. He/She follows instructions from more experienced engineers. He/She helps project teams by carrying out tasks in many areas of product design, research, planning, drawing, etc. A Design Engineer requires technical knowledge, creativity, good communication and project management skills, problem-solving abilities, and a good command of computer-aided design (CAD) software. They should also have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or design, work experience, a strong portfolio, good analytical and mathematical skills, the ability to handle multiple projects, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
