Quality Control Engineer ghaziabad, uttar pradesh, india 7 years None Not disclosed On-site Full Time

Job Title: Quality Control Engineer – PV Solar Frame Fabrication Location: Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh Industry: PV Solar Frame Fabrication Experience Required: 3–7 years in QC (fabrication, machining, aluminium extrusion, or metal components) About the Role We’re looking for someone who knows how to keep a shop floor honest—someone who understands aluminium profiles, tolerances, machining accuracy, and what “good” looks like in a solar frame line. This role isn’t about paperwork alone; it’s about catching problems before they become rejections. You’ll be the first line of defence for quality. If an incoming batch isn’t right, or a machine is drifting out of tolerance, you’ll pick it up. And you’ll have the confidence to call it out. Key Responsibilities Incoming Material QC Inspect aluminium extrusion profiles (long, short, key profiles) as they arrive. Check dimensional accuracy, surface finish, die lines, twist/bow, hardness, temper, and weight variance. Verify supplier documentation: QA certificate, BIS license (if applicable), and agreed specs. Reject or segregate non-conforming material and prepare NCRs. In-Process QC Measure cut lengths, hole positions, punch accuracy, stamping quality, and burr-free finish on the running line. Conduct random sampling and full-batch checks as needed. Ensure corner key fitting dimensions match assembly tolerances. Confirm machines (saws, punching presses, CNC fixtures) are calibrated and running within limits. Monitor scrap patterns and highlight abnormal scrap generation. Final QC Inspect assembled short frames and full sets before packing. Check right-angle accuracy, parallelism, twist, and overall frame alignment. Approve or reject finished lots based on the QC checklist and standards. Documentation & Reporting Maintain QC check sheets (daily/shift-wise). Prepare NCR reports and follow up on correction with production. Maintain supplier-wise quality history and trend data. Coordinate with production, PPC, and stores on quality-related issues. Skills & Requirements Solid understanding of aluminium extrusion quality parameters. Proficiency in using vernier calliper, micrometer, height gauge, angle gauge, hardness tester, and other QC instruments. Ability to read technical drawings and understand tolerances (GD&T preferred). Experience in fabrication or machining-based QC is a strong plus. Strong communication and reporting skills. Comfortable working in a fast-moving production environment. What We’re Looking For in a Person Someone who doesn’t guess—measures everything. Someone who’s not afraid to stop a line if quality is slipping. Someone disciplined, observant, and steady under pressure. Someone who understands that quality isn’t a department; it’s a culture. Qualification Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or similar. QC certifications are an added advantage. Salary & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience. Performance-based incentives. Growth opportunities in a rapidly scaling solar component business.
