To assist dentist in day to day procedures
Job Summary: We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Dental Clinic Assistant to support our dentists and ensure smooth daily operations at the clinic. The ideal candidate will assist in patient care, sterilization of instruments, preparation of treatment rooms, and maintain overall clinic hygiene and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Assist the dentist during dental procedures (e.g., fillings, extractions, root canals) Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment Sterilize dental tools and ensure proper infection control protocols are followed Welcome and prepare patients for treatment, ensuring comfort and clear communication Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist (if certified) Manage dental records, update patient histories, and handle basic administrative tasks Provide post-operative instructions to patients as directed Maintain clinic cleanliness and stock dental supplies regularly Coordinate patient appointments and manage the clinic schedule (as needed) Support in educating patients about oral hygiene and preventive care Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Dental assistant certification (if required by local regulations) Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and terminology Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and a high level of hygiene awareness Ability to work well in a team and in a fast-paced clinical environment Basic computer skills for record-keeping and scheduling Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a dental clinic or healthcare setting Certification in dental radiology or infection control Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar) CPR/First Aid certification Working Conditions: Clinical environment with long hours on feet Use of protective gear (masks, gloves, eye protection) required May include weekend or evening shifts based on clinic schedule
