Job Summary: The General Fitness Trainer is responsible for conducting fitness assessments, designing personalized workout programs, leading group and one-on-one fitness sessions, and providing guidance to clients to help them achieve their fitness goals Key Responsibilities: Conduct fitness assessments and health screenings for new and existing members. Design and deliver safe, effective, and engaging personal training programs based on clients' needs and goals. Instruct and motivate clients in both individual and group exercise formats. Monitor client progress and adapt programs as needed. Educate clients on proper exercise techniques, nutrition basics, and healthy lifestyle choices. Ensure all gym equipment is used safely and maintained properly. Foster a positive, motivating, and supportive training environment. Maintain accurate client records and session logs. Stay updated with the latest fitness trends, techniques, and certifications. Promote and upsell additional fitness services when appropriate. Qualifications: Certification in Personal Training or Group Fitness from a recognized body (e.g., ACE, NASM, ISSA, ACSM). CPR and First Aid certification (preferred). Proven experience as a fitness trainer, personal trainer, or similar role. Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, anatomy, and nutrition basics. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to motivate and inspire clients of all fitness levels. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Desired Skills: Ability to design programs for weight loss, strength training, endurance, and flexibility. Experience with various fitness equipment and technologies. Group class instruction experience is a plus. Sales and customer service experience in a fitness environment. Work Conditions: Flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Active role involving standing, demonstrating exercises, and assisting members physically.
