Hydrological surveyor

The selected candidate will be responsible for hydrological data collection, analysis, and reporting for infrastructure and environmental projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Collection and analysis of rainfall data (IMD, NASA POWER, State WRD)
• Catchment and sub-catchment delineation using GIS
• Runoff estimation using:
• Rational Method
• SCS-CN Method
• Gumbel / Frequency analysis
• Preparation of:
• Peak discharge calculations
• Design rainfall (IDF curves)
• Flood estimation reports
• Support flood modelling and drainage design teams
• Field surveys:
• Stream/nala cross-sections
• High Flood Level (HFL) marking
• Drainage path identification

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of rainfall–runoff processes
• Knowledge of flood estimation methods
• Working knowledge of:
• GIS (QGIS / ArcGIS)
• Excel-based hydrological calculations
• Basic familiarity with:
• HEC-HMS / SWMM (preferred, not mandatory)
• Ability to prepare clear technical reports
• Willingness for site visits and field work

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
