HVAC Service Technician

As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for the following tasks: - Operating power tools and equipment such as electric and pneumatic drills, hammer drills, screwdrivers, saws, cutters, sprayers, circulators, vacuum pumps and cleaners, powder activated tools. - Using hand tools and special equipment and devices such as wire cutters, insulation strippers, crimpers, hammers, chisels, saws, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, shears, pop riveter, files, reamers, taps, dies, soldering iron, torches, swedging tool, tube and pipe cutters, picks, shovels, ladders, scaffolding, block, tackle, hoist, sling, come along, lifts. - Maintaining work areas, tools, and equipment operational, clean, and orderly. - Maintaining, installing, repairing, and properly charging heat pumps and up to twenty (20)-ton air conditioners according to manufacturer specifications. - Spot checking for HVAC design and safety review with contractors, vendor print spot check and approval. - Providing HVAC technical support during the commissioning and start-up phases. - Maintaining personal competency in alignment with the elements of the HVAC Technician CMAS competency profile. - Overseeing & monitoring the site HVAC systems and making adjustments and/or repairs as necessary. - Working closely with the Facilities Management Controls Shop, Planning Shop, and other trades in support of HVAC planned and unplanned maintenance. - Performing preventative maintenance, site surveys, modifications, and repairs to HVAC commercial equipment.
