Role Overview We are seeking a part-time, remote HubSpot Developer to join our team as a contractor. In this role, you’ll design, build, and maintain custom solutions within and around HubSpot to meet client needs. Your work will include building custom-coded actions, API integrations, extensions, and technical enhancements that go beyond native platform functionality. This is a contract role with flexible hours, suited for someone who thrives in a consulting environment and enjoys solving diverse technical challenges across multiple HubSpot instances. Availability for pre-scheduled client or team calls (typically during North American business hours) may be required. Key Responsibilities Custom Development Build custom-coded workflows, modules, and apps within HubSpot. Design and maintain API integrations between HubSpot and third-party systems. Develop technical solutions for client-specific use cases, including data transformations and advanced automations. Create and maintain HubSpot CMS custom themes, templates, and modules when needed. Technical Problem-Solving Troubleshoot issues with integrations, APIs, and custom-coded actions. Optimize performance and scalability of HubSpot-based solutions. Provide guidance on best practices for HubSpot development and extensibility. Collaboration and Delivery Review and scope technical requirements with Hubjoy strategists and clients. Communicate progress, blockers, and recommendations clearly. Maintain documentation for all custom work to ensure long-term usability. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of hands-on development experience with HubSpot (including APIs, CMS Hub, and custom-coded workflows). Proficiency in JavaScript, HubL, HTML, and CSS (Python or Node.js experience is a plus). Strong knowledge of REST APIs, authentication methods, and data handling. Experience integrating HubSpot with SaaS tools and enterprise systems. Familiarity with HubSpot Operations Hub and programmable automation features. Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Clear English communication skills, both written and verbal. HubSpot certifications (a plus).
