Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced RPG Developer with a strong background in IBM i (AS/400) applications and hands-on experience migrating or supporting migrations to the Infinite I platform. This role is critical to our modernization initiative, which involves recompiling and adapting our legacy applications to run in a Linux-based Infinite I environment , including deployment on cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure . The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of RPG, CL, and COBOL development, experience working with or migrating to Infinite I , and comfort operating in Linux environments . This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-impact transformation initiative while helping preserve critical business logic and functionality. Key Responsibilities: Support the recompilation and adaptation of existing IBM i (AS/400) applications to run on the Infinite I platform. Analyze legacy RPG, CL, and COBOL source code to identify required modifications (e.g., timezone handling, label printing). Collaborate with internal teams and the Infinite I vendor to resolve technical challenges. Provide hands-on development and troubleshooting in Infinite I and Linux environments. Ensure applications perform correctly and reliably post-migration. Document migration steps, challenges, and resolutions to support knowledge transfer. Assist in validating application functionality in test and production environments, including on Azure cloud infrastructure. Provide ongoing support and enhancement as needed during and after the migration effort. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience developing IBM i (AS/400) applications using RPG (free and/or fixed), CL, and COBOL. Hands-on experience working with or migrating applications to the Infinite I platform. Proficiency in Linux command line and scripting. Familiarity with cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure . Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with timezone-sensitive or label-printing applications on IBM i or Infinite I. Exposure to cloud-native tools and services on Azure. Understanding of containerization (e.g., Docker) or virtualized environments.
