Greet customers warmly as they enter and create a welcoming first impression. Assist guests with placing food and beverage orders while offering menu information and suggestions when needed. Operate the POS system accurately to input orders, apply discounts or promotions, and ensure correct pricing. Process payments through cash, credit/debit card, gift card, or mobile wallet, ensuring all transactions are recorded properly. Issue receipts, provide change, and manage refunds with accuracy and professionalism. Verify order accuracy before handing items to customers or passing tickets to the kitchen staff. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked cashier station, including condiment areas, napkin holders, and utensil stands. Respond politely to customer questions, concerns, or complaints and escalate issues to supervisors when necessary. Communicate effectively with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders. Monitor inventory levels for front-of-house supplies and report shortages promptly. Follow all food safety, hygiene, and company policies to uphold operational standards. Perform opening and closing duties such as setting up the cash drawer, counting cash, and reconciling discrepancies at the end of the shift. Qualifications Basic math skills and previous cash-handling experience preferred. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus; training may be provided. Strong customer service skills with a positive and professional attitude. Ability to multitask and remain calm during busy periods.
