Job Purpose:

The Horticulture Officer will be responsible for planning, developing, and maintaining greenbelt areas and landscaped spaces within the organization’s premises. The role focuses on plantation planning, plant health, and environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Greenbelt Development & Maintenance:

• Plan and develop greenbelt areas as per approved layouts and environmental guidelines.
• Execute plantation programs including trees, shrubs, lawns, and ground covers.
• Maintain greenbelt areas, gardens, and landscaped zones.
• Monitor plant growth, health, and survival rates.

Plantation Planning & Execution:

• Prepare seasonal plantation plans and schedules.
• Select suitable plant species based on soil and climatic conditions.
• Supervise plantation activities such as pit preparation, spacing, mulching, and staking.
• Ensure proper irrigation, fertilization, pruning, and pest control.

Environmental & Sustainability Activities:

• Support environmental initiatives related to greenery and biodiversity.
• Assist in maintaining greenbelt compliance as per environmental clearance requirements.
• Promote use of organic manure, composting, and water-efficient irrigation practices.

Vendor & Workforce Coordination:

• Supervise gardeners, contractors, and external service providers.
• Ensure timely execution of horticulture activities.
• Ensure safe work practices during horticulture operations.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain records of plantation and maintenance activities.
• Prepare periodic reports on greenbelt development.
• Support environmental audits and inspections when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or related field.
• Knowledge of plants, soil management, and irrigation systems.
• Basic understanding of greenbelt development.
• Good coordination and communication skills.

Experience:

• 1–2 years of experience in horticulture, landscaping, or greenbelt development.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
