As a Horticulture Expert, you will be part of a dynamic team working on highway projects, focusing on integrating green spaces and vegetation into large-scale infrastructure projects. Your role will require you to utilize your strong horticulture knowledge, excellent communication skills, and proven project management experience within the highway infrastructure sector. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing horticultural plans and designs for highway projects, collaborating with project engineers, architects, and environmental specialists to ensure cohesive design integration, and assessing site conditions to determine appropriate plant species for different environmental zones along the highway. You will oversee the execution of horticultural works, including planting, irrigation systems, and maintenance schedules. Additionally, you will manage and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and quality completion of horticultural tasks, monitor project progress, and provide expert guidance on nurturing and managing forests, gardens, parks, and landscapes to optimize their health and aesthetic appeal. Ensuring environmental compliance is a key aspect of your role, where you will be responsible for ensuring all horticultural practices comply with local and national environmental regulations. You will also implement sustainable practices to enhance biodiversity and minimize environmental impact, as well as promote sustainable horticultural practices through workshops, educational programs, and technical guidance to farmers and landscapers. Your role will involve preparing detailed reports on horticultural activities, project progress, and any encountered issues, as well as maintaining accurate records of plant species used, planting dates, and maintenance schedules. A minimum of 5 years of experience in horticulture, preferably in highway projects, is required for this position. The salary range for this position will be decided after discussions with the candidate and will be according to market standards. This full-time position is located in Andhra Pradesh, and benefits include Provident Fund, performance bonuses, and yearly bonuses.
