The Placement Coordinator is responsible for managing and facilitating the placement of students or trainees in suitable job roles. This includes liaising with employers, coordinating placement activities, preparing candidates for interviews, and maintaining strong relationships with corporate partners. The role requires excellent communication, organizational, and networking skills to ensure high placement success rates. Key Responsibilities: Placement & Career Support: Identify job opportunities relevant to students' skills, qualifications, and aspirations. Establish and maintain relationships with companies for placement and internship opportunities. Coordinate and schedule interviews between employers and candidates. Track and ensure successful job placements for students/trainees. Organize campus recruitment drives, job fairs, and networking events. Industry Engagement & Networking: Develop partnerships with companies and recruiters for ongoing hiring needs. Keep updated with industry trends and workforce demands. Maintain a database of employer contacts and placement records. Student & Candidate Preparation: Conduct resume-building and interview preparation workshops. Offer guidance on professional skills, soft skills, and job market trends. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain placement records and generate reports on placement statistics. Collect feedback from recruiters and students to improve the placement process.
