We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manual Pattern Master who specializes in Indian, Indo-Western, and Western garments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in pattern making, garment construction, fitting, and sewing techniques. The role requires a deep understanding of fabrics, silhouettes, and current fashion trends to produce precise and high-quality garments. Key Responsibilities : Pattern Making (Manual): Develop accurate manual patterns for Indian, Indo-Western, and Western wear (men’s & women’s). Interpret design sketches, tech packs, or samples into production-ready patterns. Adjust and grade patterns according to different sizes and fits. Garment Construction: Oversee the full garment construction process — from cutting to finishing. Provide sewing and stitching guidance to tailors and sampling teams. Ensure garments maintain design integrity and perfect fit. Sample Development: Create prototypes and samples for new collections. Work closely with designers to finalize fit, style, and pattern corrections. Fabric Knowledge : Understand various fabric types (silk, cotton, linen, etc.) and their behavior. Suggest suitable construction techniques for each fabric type. Fitting & Alterations : Conduct fit sessions and make necessary pattern or construction adjustments. Ensure garments meet desired aesthetics and measurements. Team Collaboration : Coordinate with designers, merchandisers, and tailors. Train junior pattern makers and supervise production for accuracy. Quality Control: Maintain high standards in pattern precision, sewing quality, and finishing.
