HL7 INTEGRATION SPECIALIST (MIRTH ENGINE)

As an HL7 Integration Specialist with expertise in the Mirth Connect engine, your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining healthcare data integration solutions with a focus on HL7 messaging standards and interoperability. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, configure, and maintain integration interfaces using Mirth Connect. - Implement and manage HL7 v2.x, v3, and FHIR interfaces for healthcare systems. - Develop message transformations, mappings, filters, and channels within Mirth. - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless integration. - Monitor and optimize Mirth Connect performance for reliable and secure data exchanges. - Ensure compliance with healthcare data exchange standards such as HIPAA, IHE, CCD, and CDA. - Document integration workflows, message specifications, and technical solutions. Required Skills & Experience: - 2-5 years of hands-on experience in HL7 messaging and Mirth Connect engine. - Strong understanding of HL7 v2.x messages and familiarity with FHIR. - Proficiency in scripting languages for Mirth transformations (JavaScript, Java, SQL, or Groovy). - Experience with healthcare integration tools and EMR/EHR systems. - Good knowledge of XML, JSON, XSLT, and web services (REST/SOAP). - Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in message flows and data mapping. Preferred Qualifications: - Exposure to other healthcare interoperability engines like Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, Ensemble. - Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA and GDPR. - Experience with SQL Server/Oracle databases. - Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure/AWS) for healthcare integration. Soft Skills: - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with technical and non-technical teams. - Ability to manage multiple integration projects simultaneously.
