Responsibilities : 24x7 Server Monitoring: Proactively monitor server environments for alerts via monitoring tools and emails. Incident Management: Handle escalations, follow up with IT system admins and application teams on pending high priority tickets. Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Conduct detailed RCA for major incidents related to Linux servers, identifying the cause and implementing solutions. Server Maintenance & Upgrades: Collaborate with project/application teams on new server builds, OS upgrades, and migrations. Performance Tuning: Fine-tune server performance and implement OS hardening practices to ensure optimal functionality. Automation & Scripting: Automate processes and reduce manual efforts using scripts and tools. Patch Management & Vulnerability Management: Apply patches and close vulnerabilities to maintain system integrity and security. Incident Tracking & Documentation: Maintain incident logs and track resolutions through ticketing systems. Web Server Management: Manage and troubleshoot web servers like Apache, Nginx, and Tomcat. Firmware & OS Crash Analysis: Analyze and resolve server crashes, and perform firmware upgrades when necessary.
