Job Title: Hindustani Vocal Music Teacher

Job Location: Banyan Tree School, Lodhi Road, Delhi

Job Type: Full-time

We are looking for a qualified and passionate Hindustani Vocal Music Teacher for classes I to XII who can inspire students to explore and appreciate Indian classical music, foster their artistic expression, and guide them in developing strong vocal and performance skills. The ideal candidate should also possess knowledge of accompanying instruments and be able to integrate them effectively into teaching and performances.

Essential Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Hindustani Classical Music (Vocal) from a recognized university/institution

B.Ed. degree (preferred)

Minimum Experience:

4 to 5 years of relevant experience teaching Hindustani Vocal Music at the school level

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct engaging and structured Hindustani Vocal Music classes for students across various grades

Train students for school performances, inter-school and cultural competitions

Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum goals and students skill levels

Introduce students to the fundamentals of raga, taal, and classical compositions

Provide guidance on the use and coordination of Indian classical instruments such as harmonium, tanpura, tabla, and dholak.

Encourage creativity and appreciation for Indian classical and semi-classical music traditions

Coordinate with the Cultural Committee for events, assemblies, and annual functions
