Role Purpose : The Head Accounts & Finance will lead and manage the finance and accounting functions of the company, ensure robust financial controls, timely and accurate reporting, compliance with statutory obligations, and support strategic decision-making to enable business growth and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities : Strategic Financial Management Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the companys growth objectives (e.g., manufacturing expansion, new product development, cost optimisation). Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning; ensure management understands financial trends, risks and opportunities. Provide financial insights and act as a business partner to operational teams and senior management for decision-making. SAP ERP Implementation. Financial Accounting & Reporting Oversee the full set of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC filings, FEMA, EPCG, Icegate, etc). Coordinate with internal & external auditors and ensure timely closure of audit findings. Establish and monitor key financial KPIs for the business. Cash Flow, Treasury & Working Capital Management Manage cash flow, banking relationships, treasury operations, and working capital optimisation (receivables, payables, inventory). Ensure effective use of capital, control of financing, and cost of funds. Support capital raising, debt structuring or equity funding, as and when required. Controls, Risk Management & Compliance Design, implement and maintain robust internal controls, accounting policies and SOPs to safeguard company assets and ensure integrity of financial data. Identify financial risks (liquidity, credit, currency, cost overruns) and implement mitigation measures. Stay updated and ensure compliance with all regulatory, tax, corporate governance requirements. Finance Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management Lead, mentor and build the finance & accounts team, develop capabilities for future growth. Partner with other functions (Operations, Production, Engineering, NPD) to understand cost drivers, support cost-control initiatives and value creation. Liaise with banks, investors, statutory bodies, auditors, and other stakeholders. Cost Management & Manufacturing Finance In a manufacturing environment, oversee cost accounting, standard cost monitoring, margin analysis and review of overheads. Provide financial support for project costing, factory costs, NPD cost analysis. Qualifications & Experience: Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) / MBA (Finance) or equivalent. Typically 10-15+ years of progressive finance experience, with minimum 5 years in a senior financial leadership role. Strong grounding in accounting, financial planning & analysis, treasury, compliance, internal controls and team leadership. Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably heavy engineering / components manufacturing) is desirable. Proficiency with ERP systems, MIS reporting tools, financial modelling and dashboards. Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
