Role & responsibilities

The role requires expertise in the subject, effective teaching skills, and the ability to prepare students for their board exams (such as STATE,CBSE or ICSE) and competitive exams.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Instruction:

Deliver lessons in chemistry, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of subjects like organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry.

Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, practical demonstrations, and experiments.

Utilize various teaching methods (traditional lectures, multimedia, group activities) to enhance learning.

Curriculum Development & Planning:

Design and update lesson plans, assignments, and assessments according to the curriculum.

Ensure that all prescribed syllabus topics are covered within the academic year.

Student Assessment:

Prepare and conduct regular assessments, assignments, and practical exams.

Evaluate student performance, providing feedback to help improve their academic development.

Maintain accurate records of students progress.

Laboratory Work & Practical Classes:

Guide students through lab experiments, ensuring they develop hands-on skills in chemistry.

Classroom Management:

Maintain discipline in the classroom and create a conducive learning environment.

Address student queries and provide additional support when necessary.

Student Guidance & Mentoring:

Provide academic guidance to students, helping them prepare for exams and future academic pursuits.

Mentor students for projects, research, and career counselling in the field of science.

Development:

Stay updated on the latest developments in the field of chemistry and educational techniques.

Participate in ongoing training and educational workshops to improve teaching skills.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Educational Qualification: A Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Chemistry, with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) for teaching.

Experience: Previous teaching experience at the senior secondary level is preferred.

Skills:

Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching chemistry.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage and motivate students.

Organizational skills to manage teaching materials, experiments, and student assessments.

Proficiency in using educational technology and tools.
