Key Responsibilities: Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: • Ensure adherence to The Factories Act (India), National Fire and Safety Code, and Code of Conduct regulations. • Maintain updated compliance registers, licenses, and documentation as per legal and audit requirements. • Coordinate with government authorities during inspections and ensure prompt resolution of any non-compliances. Safety Systems & Programs: • Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety programs to align with company and legal standards. • Prepare and conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and job safety analysis. • Manage hazardous waste disposal in line with environmental and safety norms. • Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure effective communication across teams. Training & Engagement: • Conduct safety induction and regular training programs for all employees and contract workforce. • Organize monthly safety committee meetings, record minutes, and ensure timely follow-ups. • Lead and support safety awareness campaigns, fire drills, and mock emergency preparedness exercises. Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: • Inspect, audit, and maintain safety compliance of all equipment, PPEs, fire extinguishers, and evacuation tools. • Work closely with operations and maintenance to integrate TQM, ISO, and EHS principles into daily practices. • Track and analyze incidents/near-misses and drive root cause analysis and preventive actions. Documentation & Reporting: • Maintain records of incident reports, safety training, inspections, and audit findings. • Submit monthly safety reports to management with metrics and improvement plans. • Support management in EHS MIS reporting and compliance dashboards. Candidate Profile: • Diploma / B.E. with additional qualification in HSE (mandatory). • 35 years of experience in safety roles within a manufacturing/industrial environment. • Strong knowledge of Indian safety laws, Factory Act, Fire Safety norms, and EHS practices. • Familiarity with TQM, ISO 45001/14001, and safety certifications preferred. • Proficiency in MS Office and digital record keeping. • Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. • Self-driven and committed to promoting a culture of zero harm.
