Key Responsibilities: Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: • Ensure adherence to The Factories Act (India), National Fire and Safety Code, and Code of Conduct regulations. • Maintain updated compliance registers, licenses, and documentation as per legal and audit requirements. • Coordinate with government authorities during inspections and ensure prompt resolution of any non-compliances. Safety Systems & Programs: • Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety programs to align with company and legal standards. • Prepare and conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and job safety analysis. • Manage hazardous waste disposal in line with environmental and safety norms. • Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure effective communication across teams. Training & Engagement: • Conduct safety induction and regular training programs for all employees and contract workforce. • Organize monthly safety committee meetings, record minutes, and ensure timely follow-ups. • Lead and support safety awareness campaigns, fire drills, and mock emergency preparedness exercises. Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: • Inspect, audit, and maintain safety compliance of all equipment, PPEs, fire extinguishers, and evacuation tools. • Work closely with operations and maintenance to integrate TQM, ISO, and EHS principles into daily practices. • Track and analyze incidents/near-misses and drive root cause analysis and preventive actions. Documentation & Reporting: • Maintain records of incident reports, safety training, inspections, and audit findings. • Submit monthly safety reports to management with metrics and improvement plans. • Support management in EHS MIS reporting and compliance dashboards.
