To expand our design and product development capabilities, we are looking for a: Industrial Designer – Smart Solar Products & Visual Communication (m/f/d) Full-time Position | Mumbai, India We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented Industrial Designer who can contribute both to next-generation product design as well as visual/graphic design outputs . You will play a key role in shaping the future of HEI’s global product portfolio — from solar masts and outdoor lighting systems to IoT-integrated green infrastructure. Note: We expect a full-time professional with 2–4 years of experience . Outstanding final-year design students with a strong portfolio may be considered for a short transitional period on a part-time basis, with a clear commitment to join full-time after graduation. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Product & Industrial Design Conceptualize next-generation solar masts, IoT-enabled outdoor products, and smart infrastructure solutions. Develop 3D models, assemblies, and detailed design concepts using CAD tools. Create high-quality renderings, sketches, and visual design presentations. Collaborate closely with engineering teams in Austria and India to translate concepts into manufacturable products. Support prototyping, user testing, CMF exploration, and design iterations. Visual & Graphic Design Create marketing and visual communication materials such as brochures, catalogues, exhibition graphics, standees, posters, and product sheets. Support brand consistency across digital and print media. Prepare visuals for events, trade fairs, TechFest exhibitions, and product launches. Assist in UI/UX and interface visuals for IoT products where required. YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Degree in Industrial Design / Product Design / Communication Design or a similar discipline. 2–4 years of experience in industrial/product design (mandatory for full-time role). Strong portfolio demonstrating form development, aesthetics, CMF, user-centric design, and technical thinking. Proficiency in tools such as SolidWorks / Fusion 360 , KeyShot , Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc. Experience or interest in outdoor products, lighting, renewable energy, or smart city solutions is a strong advantage. Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and prototyping methods. Strong visual storytelling and presentation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Structured, detail-oriented, and independent working approach. Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems is a plus. WHAT WE OFFER Full-time, permanent role with high creative autonomy.
