Kanha Shanti Vanam, Hyderabad https://g.co/kgs/4EiMgu The Nursery Procurement - Executive will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the inventory of all plant-related materials, saplings, seeds, and supplies essential for the operational excellence and growth of the Heartyculture Nursery at Kanha Shanti Vanam. This role ensures timely, cost-effective, and quality procurement that adheres to the standards of the organization. Key Responsibilities 1. Procurement and Sourcing Source and procure high-quality saplings, seeds, planting material, growing media (soil, coco-peat, manure, etc.), fertilizers, pesticides, and nursery tools/equipment. Develop and maintain a database of reliable vendors and suppliers across the region for various horticultural products. Conduct market research to ensure competitive pricing and identify new suppliers or materials that enhance quality and sustainability. Manage the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, evaluate supplier bids, and negotiate favorable contract terms, pricing, and delivery schedules. 2. Inventory and Logistics Management Coordinate with the Horticulture/Nursery Operations team to determine material requirements based on production plans and stock limits. Oversee the logistics and transportation of procured materials to ensure safe and timely delivery to the Kanha Shanti Vanam site. Implement a robust system for grading and quality checking all incoming plant stock and materials before acceptance into inventory. Monitor current stock levels and implement a Just-In-Time (JIT) procurement strategy to minimize waste and storage costs. 3. Documentation and Compliance Maintain accurate records of all purchase orders, invoices, contracts, and supplier performance. Ensure all procured products meet required quality and phytosanitary standards and comply with local regulations. Prepare periodic reports on procurement costs, savings, and supplier performance for management review. Required Qualifications and Skills Education: Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Experience: 2–4 years of proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, preferably within the nursery, agriculture, or landscaping sector . Knowledge: Strong understanding of plant species, nursery materials, and quality parameters for saplings and growing media. Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using procurement software/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Location: Willingness to work from Kanha Shanti Vanam, Hyderabad.
