Head R&D Ceramic/ Porcelain

You will be joining Modern Insulators Ltd., a leading manufacturer of porcelain-based electrical insulators located in Abu Road, Rajasthan. The company specializes in developing products for transmission, distribution, and railway electrification systems using advanced ceramic formulations and stringent quality standards. As the Head of Research & Development (R&D), you will play a crucial role in leading innovation, new product development, and continuous improvement in ceramic-based insulators for the electrical industry. Your primary responsibilities will include leading and directing R&D initiatives focused on ceramic-based porcelain insulators for various sectors, driving innovation in ceramic compositions and manufacturing processes to enhance performance and cost-effectiveness, developing and testing new insulator designs to meet international standards, ensuring product stability through rigorous testing, and mentoring a capable R&D team to support advanced research projects. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to commercialize new products, stay updated on industry trends, and engage in strategic problem-solving to optimize processes and reduce material costs. To excel in this role, you should have a B.Tech/M.Tech or Ph.D. in Ceramics Engineering or Materials Science, along with a minimum of 20 years of experience in ceramic R&D, preferably in electrical insulators or similar industries. You should possess expertise in glaze formulation, raw material behavior, firing cycles, and electrical insulation properties, with a proven track record of successfully launching new ceramic products. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills are essential, along with industry exposure to electrical ceramics, insulators, or advanced ceramics.
