Head of Directory Services and Enterprise Platforms - Cybersecurity

As the Head of Directory Services and Enterprise Platforms at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic direction and leadership for the Identity and access management authentication control design and implementation. Your responsibilities will include leading the development of Identity and Access Management policies, procedures, and standards to be implemented across all enterprise platforms. You will manage the use of directories, secure LDAP, and single sign-on (SSO) technologies for authentication and authorization services, as well as oversee and manage directory infrastructure and services. Your role will involve driving the Identity and Access Management password less and multi-factor authentication strategy across the bank, with a focus on service availability and reducing potential downtime of key services. Collaboration with the Cybersecurity and CTO teams will be essential to maintain an effective identity and access management program aligned with industry best practices and standards. Additionally, you will lead engineering efforts for Identity and Access Management services, solutions, and integrations across all enterprise platforms, ensuring solutions meet business security and regulatory requirements. Your role will also involve participating in the selection and approval of vendors, products, and technologies related to identity and access management services, and managing the Identity and Access Management budget. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and making independent judgments and decisions in forming and maintaining Identity and Access Management strategy will be key aspects of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will lead the collaboration with other IT and Business functions, engage and manage a team of diverse colleagues, and ensure that Directory Services and Enterprise Platforms are aligned with current risks and emerging business needs. Your communication and visibility of Directory Services and Enterprise Platforms and its value to business stakeholders at a global level will be crucial. To be successful in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, along with at least 18 years of relevant experience in technology management with a focus on IAM and directory services. Technical proficiency with LDAP, Active Directory, SSO, IAM Software, and security technologies is required, along with knowledge of cloud-based Identity and Access Management technologies such as AWS IAM and Azure AD. Strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, analytical thinking, and project management skills are essential. Experience managing budgets and personnel, as well as CISSP or CISM certification, would be advantageous for this role.
