HDD Operator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HDD Operator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating horizontal directional drilling (HDD) equipment to install underground utilities according to project plans and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate HDD rigs and associated equipment (e.g., Vermeer, Ditch Witch) to complete bore paths.
• Read and interpret utility maps, blueprints, and job plans.
• Locate existing underground utilities and avoid conflicts during drilling.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe job site.
• Work closely with the drill locator and crew members to achieve project goals.
• Comply with all safety procedures, regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of HDD operating experience preferred.
• Knowledge of underground utility construction (fiber, gas, water, electric).
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot HDD rigs and support equipment.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
