Role & responsibilities We're looking for a dedicated and skilled Real Estate Valuer to join our team in Chennai. This role is a great fit for a field-based professional who can accurately and independently determine the value of residential, commercial, and industrial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Chennai real estate market, excellent analytical abilities, and the capacity to produce clear, precise valuation reports. A valid two-wheeler and driving license are mandatory for this role. Preferred candidate profile Conduct on-site inspections of properties to accurately measure and assess physical attributes, including the building's size, condition, and quality of construction. Examine and verify property documents, such as building plans, ownership records, and legal approvals, to ensure compliance with local regulations. Gather comprehensive data on local real estate market trends, including comparable sales, rental rates, and future development plans in the Chennai region. Analyze and evaluate key factors that influence property value, such as location, amenities, and market conditions. Prepare detailed and defensible valuation reports that outline the methodologies used and support the estimated market value. Communicate with clients, including banks and other financial institutions, to clarify report findings and answer any questions. Maintain and update records of all inspections and valuations. Required Qualifications and Skills Educational Background: A bachelor's degree or a diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Town Planning is typically required. Experience: A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in real estate valuation or a related field. Technical Skills: Proficiency in property valuation methodologies (e.g., Sales Comparison, Cost, and Income approaches). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately assess property value. Ability to read and interpret building plans and legal documents. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Personal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Tamil. A high degree of attention to detail and accuracy. Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple site visits and reports. The ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule. Specific Requirements: Must own a two-wheeler and possess a valid driving license .
