Job Description Position Title: Process Engineering (PE) Engineer/ Maintenance Location: Chimbali Plant Department: Process Engineering/Maintenance Reports To: Plant Head Experience Required: 3 to 5 Years (Wiring Harness Industry preferred) Qualification: B.E / B.Tech (Electrical / Electronics / E&TC) About the Role: At Harnex, our people are our most valuable resource. We are looking for a highly skilled Process Engineer with experience in the Wiring Harness Manufacturing industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in process design, optimization, and continuous improvement, ensuring smooth production operations and adherence to quality standards. Roles & Responsibilities: Prepare and standardize all workstation-related documentation such as Work Instructions (WI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Operator Adjustment Sheets (OAS), One Point Standards (OPS) , and define process parameters for pre-assembly and final assembly operations. Prepare Process Flow Chart (PFC) and PFMEA for new products and coordinate with the Quality team for customer communication. Regularly update PFC and PFMEA as per process or design changes. Prepare and revise plant layouts for new setups or modifications. Collaborate with the Design team to decide sub-assembly circuits and prepare related drawings. Conduct Time & Motion Studies and perform capacity calculations for machinery, manpower, and other manufacturing resources. Calculate cycle time for both new and existing projects to ensure productivity targets are met. Implement approved Kaizens (suggestions) and Safety Committee inputs across departments within given timelines. Design and apply mistake-proofing (Poka Yoke) solutions and low-cost automation to improve process reliability. Track and implement Engineering Change Notes (ECN) as per production requirements. Stay updated with and implement latest industry trends and best practices for process improvement. Conduct length reduction studies by optimizing wiring harness layouts on final assembly boards. Contribute to cost-saving initiatives through process improvements and QCPDESM methodology. Maintain organized data storage on the company server with proper version control and restricted access. Ensure adherence to and active participation in QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) policies and systems at both departmental and organizational levels. Ensure 8D reports are filled and maintained monthly and machine-wise for tracking and problem resolution. Job Requirements: Education: B.E / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / E&TC Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Process Engineering within the Wiring Harness Manufacturing Industry Desired Competencies: Positive attitude and proactive approach toward work ( Must Have ) Strong learning orientation and willingness to upgrade skills ( Must Have ) Up-to-date knowledge of relevant technical and process engineering tools High target and delivery orientation with attention to detail Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and AutoCAD ( Mandatory ) Ability to lead and coordinate team activities effectively Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Why Join Harnex: At Harnex Systems Pvt.
