Role & responsibilities Job Description: Wire Harness Sales Engineer Experience: 45 Years Role Overview: As a Wire Harness Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for managing technical sales activities related to wire harness products, supporting customers through the entire sales cycle — from initial inquiry to post-delivery support. You will work closely with engineering, production, and procurement teams to ensure customer requirements are met with optimized, cost-effective solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Identify and develop new business opportunities for wire harness products across target markets (automotive, industrial, etc.). • Respond to RFQs (Request for Quotation), prepare technical/commercial proposals, and follow up with customers. • Understand customer technical requirements by interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and 3D models. • Coordinate with internal engineering and production teams to provide accurate cost estimates, BOMs, and lead times. • Support the product design process by providing customer input and ensuring manufacturability and compliance. • Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, and commercial negotiations. • Maintain long-term relationships with key accounts and ensure timely delivery and quality service. • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs. • Maintain CRM systems and prepare regular sales reports and forecasts. Key Skills & Tools: • Technical knowledge of wire harness components (connectors, terminals, cables, tubing, etc.) • Proficient in reading electrical schematics and 2D/3D CAD drawings • Experience with ERP and CRM software (e.g., SAP, Salesforce) • Knowledge of relevant standards (IPC/WHMA-A-620) • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or related field • 4–5 years of experience in wire harness sales or technical support • Prior experience dealing with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers is preferred • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
