H2K Solutions Ltd is urgently seeking a skilled and driven Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team and support the development of robust, scalable Business Intelligence solutions. This is a fully remote role, ideal for a self-motivated individual with hands-on experience in Power BI , Azure Synapse , and Microsoft Fabric with minimum of three years’ experience of effective business solution delivery using the Microsoft BI toolset. This role requires experience in data management and data solutions that meet clearly defined business requirements. Proven experience with providing the organization with a high degree of technical leadership that in turn delivers innovative and appropriate technical solutions. The ideal candidate must be able to join with in two weeks. Responsibilities · Identifying all data sources and defining processes to optimize the collection and storage of data · Design, maintenance, and configuration of the Azure Synapse data pipelines/platforms and sources · Provide effective technical leadership to enable technical solutions to be appropriately delivered · Design, develop, and maintain scalable BI solutions using tools such as Power BI, Azure SQL Server, Azure Synapse Analytics, and/or Microsoft Fabric. · Build and optimize Power BI semantic models to support self-service BI and enterprise reporting. · Identifying all data sources and defining processes to optimize the collection and storage of data · Collaborate with BI Developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions. · Stability, monitoring and performance of data pipelines · Design, develop and optimize SQL queries for extraction and transformation of data · Ensure data integrity, security, and governance best practices are followed. · Monitor and troubleshoot BI systems, ensuring continuous improvement and operational excellence. · Modelling and analysing Dynamics 365 data in Power BI , including navigating relationships and data structures unique to the platform. · Integrate Dynamics 365 data into Azure Synapse or Microsoft Fabric environments. Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field. · Microsoft Certifications Essential Skills · Strong proficiency in Microsoft BI technologies, including Power BI, DAX, SQL Server · Should be able to work U.K business hours. Proper work from home setup required · Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics or Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, etc.). · Solid understanding of data modeling (star/snowflake schema), data warehousing concepts, and performance tuning. · Experience with SQL and managing large datasets in cloud environments. · Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. · Methodical and detail oriented · A minimum of three years experience of effective business solution delivery using the Microsoft BI toolset o Azure Synapse o Azure Data Platform o Azure Data Factory o SSAS o SSIS Desirable Skills Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 data models (e.g., Sales, Customer Service, Finance & Operations, or Dataverse). Familiarity with Dataverse APIs and integration of Dynamics 365 data into reporting pipelines. Knowledge of Common Data Model (CDM) and best practices for leveraging it in enterprise BI solutions.
