Salary Range: 6 - 7.2 LPA (Depends on experience) About Gurujal GuruJal, an Abhipsa Foundation initiative, aims to achieve water neutrality by designing and implementing integrated, participatory and hyperlocal solutions for groundwater recharge and management in arid and semi-arid regions of India. We have already rejuvenated 100+ ponds, 700+ rainwater harvesting structures and have enabled 827 million litres of groundwater recharge per year. But this is just a drop in the ocean. With proven results of our 6R approach, we are now looking for the next generation of leaders to ‘grow with us’ and ‘Make India Water Secure’ within our lifetime. Why This Role Matters As the Partnerships Associate (Government), you will ensure that GuruJal’s projects are aligned with state and national priorities. This role is about positioning GuruJal as a partner of choice for the government in India’s water and climate security journey. Your role matters because: Government is a key ally: Building trusted relationships with officials will ensure long-term sustainability and credibility of our interventions. Advocacy creates impact: Well-researched briefs, policy notes, and advocacy can influence decisions that affect millions of people and ecosystems. Policy drives scale: By shaping and responding to government policies, you enable GuruJal’s solutions to reach more districts and communities. What You'll Do? The Partnerships Associate (Government) will focus on building and sustaining GuruJal’s partnerships with government institutions. 1. Serve as a primary liaison with several Govt. departments and agencies 2. Support GuruJal’s representation in government forums, committees, and consultations. 3. Track central and state-level policies on water, climate, and sustainability. 4. Support statutory compliance and documentation for government projects 5. Develop policy briefs, official letters, position papers, and advocacy notes for GuruJal. 6. Apply for opportunities through Government grants, Tenders, and RFPs What You’ll Bring? 1. Master’s degree in Public Policy, Development Studies, Political Science, or related fields 2. Work experience of 2-4 years in government engagement and policy research. 3. Strong understanding of government processes, RFPs, and policy landscape. 4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi Why join us?
