Job Description

As a Guidewire QA Engineer specializing in ETL & Data Testing, your role will involve working across Guidewire modules such as PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter to ensure data accuracy, workflow validation, and end-to-end quality across insurance systems. Key Responsibilities: - Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing for Guidewire applications. - Validate ETL workflows, source-to-target mappings, and complex data transformations. - Execute data testing, including data quality checks, reconciliation, and SQL queries. - Test Guidewire configurations, business rules, product model, and rating logic. - Develop and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts. - Conduct API testing using tools like Postman/SoapUI. - Review business/technical requirements to ensure complete coverage. - Log, report, and track defects to closure using tools like JIRA. - Collaborate with developers, BAs, and business teams to understand insurance workflows. - Support test planning, effort estimation, and daily QA reporting. Required Skills: - 4+ years of QA experience, with a minimum of 2+ years in Guidewire testing. - Hands-on experience in ETL / Data Testing (SSIS, Informatica, DataStage, or equivalent). - Strong SQL skills for backend validation. - Good understanding of P&C Insurance domain including policy, billing, and claims. - Experience testing Guidewire modules such as PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter. - Strong knowledge of STLC, defect management, and QA best practices. - Experience with API testing tools. Good to Have: - Guidewire Certification (QA, Policy, Billing, Claims). - Exposure to automation tools like Selenium, TestNG. - Hands-on experience with data validation tools or ETL monitoring tools. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
