As a Test Lead at Purview, you will be responsible for overseeing all testing activities within the team. Your primary duties will include developing a testing strategy tailored to the product, writing test plans for different project cycles, and executing test cases while also automating test execution through code. You will actively participate in requirement elaboration, focusing on enhancing test coverage, automation, and reducing defects. Your role will involve conducting non-functional testing such as performance and load testing, as well as enabling test execution through CICD Jenkins pipelines. You will take ownership of testing at various levels, including Post Production Verification, and analyze defect trends to create strategies for reducing repeat occurrences. Additionally, you will propose recommendations to enhance the quality of deliverables and provide regular testing status updates and reports. To excel in this role, you should have over 10 years of hands-on experience in strategizing and executing tests for Python-based applications, including GUI portals and REST API microservices. Proficiency in Python modules like unittest, pytest, requests, robotframework, and selenium is essential. Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) will be beneficial, along with the ability to support multiple projects concurrently. Your expertise should extend to understanding the development and testing of Web Portals and REST API microservices, as well as familiarity with Python coding and development. Proficiency in tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, Postman, Cucumber, Selenium, and JIRA is required. Being a team player with excellent analytical skills, leadership abilities, and openness to feedback are qualities that will contribute to your success in this role.
