Group Manager - Data Science

The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of customer's business challenges and be able to define an appropriate analytics approach to design a solution. Excellent communication and project management skills are essential for effectively engaging with a diverse range of audiences, both technical and business-oriented. The candidate should have the ability to accurately interpret business requirements and translate technical outcomes into easily understandable business insights. Collaboration with an offshore team to deliver timely outcomes is a key aspect of the role. Experience in handling generative AI models is required, along with proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, etc.), high analytical skills, and expertise in creating and evaluating predictive models using Machine Learning Techniques. The candidate should be capable of developing models end-to-end and should have a good grasp of Natural Language Processing. Practical experience in Python for Data Science, including deployment experience, is mandatory, along with knowledge of processing large datasets. Familiarity with visualization tools such as Tableau or R Shiny is advantageous. Responsibilities include creating presentations and reports to communicate analysis findings to clients or stakeholders, confidently presenting business recommendations, and supporting the implementation of these recommendations within client organizations. The ideal candidate should drive customer engagement, demonstrate thought leadership, and deliver value-added services consistently. Qualified candidates should have a BTech/Masters in Statistics/Mathematics/Economics/Econometrics from Tier 1-2 institutions, or a BE/B-Tech, MCA, or MBA degree. A background in the BFSI domain, with a preference for experience in Insurance, is beneficial for this role.,
