The Shift In-Charge is responsible for supervising and coordinating all operational activities during assigned shifts. This includes overseeing plant operators, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, monitoring system performance, and compiling reports for management review. Supervise operators during shift start-up, monitoring, and shutdown. Ensure compliance with reactor and operational standards. Validate shift checklists (start, monitoring, end). Monitor key metrics: temperature, biochar output, fuel feed, and pressure. Review operator logbooks, alarms, and downtime records. Investigate and escalate deviations, alarms, or breakdowns. Prepare weekly reports on production, downtime, and performance. Enforce safety protocols and emergency procedures. Ensure timely maintenance and breakdown resolution. Communicate critical issues and observations to management.
