Job Description – Data Scientist Location: Chennai (On-site) Experience: 2 – 6 years Department: Data Science & Analytics About the Role We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist with strong machine learning expertise and hands-on experience in data visualization using Apache Superset. You will work on building predictive models, analyzing complex datasets, and creating actionable insights through compelling visualizations. Key Responsibilities Machine Learning & Analytics Develop and optimize machine learning models for business problems: Build and tune regression models for continuous predictions Implement classification algorithms for categorical outcomes Create time-series forecasting models for trend analysis and planning Perform rigorous model evaluation, validation, and A/B testing Conduct feature engineering and selection to improve model performance Apply appropriate ML metrics and statistical tests to validate results Data Visualization & Reporting Design and maintain interactive dashboards in Apache Superset Create compelling data stories that translate complex analyses into business insights Build automated reporting pipelines connected to ML model outputs Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and visualization requirements Required Skills Must-Have Technical Skills 3+ years of hands-on experience in data science and machine learning Strong Python proficiency with NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn Proven experience building and deploying: Regression models (Linear, Polynomial, Ridge, Lasso) Classification models (Logistic Regression, Random Forest, XGBoost) Time-series models (ARIMA, seasonal decomposition, or Prophet) Hands-on experience with Apache Superset for dashboard creation Solid understanding of statistics and ML evaluation metrics Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation Must-Have Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Ability to explain complex models to non-technical stakeholders Self-driven with the ability to manage multiple projects Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) Exposure to deep learning or advanced NLP Knowledge of Docker or model deployment tools Experience with A/B testing frameworks What We Offer Opportunity to work on diverse ML problems across business domains Access to modern data infrastructure and tools Continuous learning and development opportunities Collaborative team environment Ideal Candidate Profile You are a data scientist who: Has delivered end-to-end ML projects from problem definition to deployment Is comfortable working with regression, classification, and time-series problems Has created impactful visualizations in Apache Superset that drove business decisions Can balance technical excellence with practical business needs Note: Please include in your application: Specific ML projects you've completed (with business impact) Examples of dashboards/visualizations you've created in Apache Superset Your experience with time-series forecasting (specific use cases)
