As we rapidly scale, we're seeking a highly capable Finance & Growth Controller to strategically manage our finances, compliance, and support sustainable growth. Role Overview The Finance & Growth Controller will be pivotal in driving GreenJams’ financial strategy, ensuring robust compliance management, and supporting ambitious growth targets. The role encompasses financial planning, accounting operations, compliance management, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow optimization, taxation, vendor management, and strategic financial analysis. You will directly collaborate with leadership, operational units, and external partners to achieve financial stability and facilitate long-term growth. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis Develop and manage annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and detailed financial models aligned with strategic business goals. Implement effective cash flow management strategies to optimize liquidity. Provide strategic financial analysis, reports, and actionable recommendations to the executive team. Compliance & Regulatory Management Oversee statutory compliance, including financial regulations, industrial standards, and corporate governance. Ensure accuracy in direct and indirect taxation, timely submission of returns, and proactive management of audits and inspections. Maintain detailed, accurate bookkeeping and financial records as per regulatory norms. Accounting & Operational Finance Manage end-to-end accounting processes including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures. Generate, review, and approve invoices, credit notes, debit notes, and track receivables/payables meticulously. Ensure accuracy, clarity, and timeliness of MIS reporting, supporting informed decision-making across teams. Cash Flow Management Forecast, track, and manage cash inflows/outflows efficiently, minimizing the cost of capital. Identify financial risks proactively, implement risk mitigation measures, and maintain optimum cash balances. Budgeting and Forecasting Develop detailed operational and capital expenditure budgets in collaboration with operational units. Regularly analyze budget variances and adjust financial forecasts to reflect changing business conditions. Taxation and Audits Handle GST, TDS, income tax filings, and ensure full tax compliance. Lead annual financial audits, coordinating closely with external auditors and internal teams, ensuring accuracy and transparency. Vendor & Procurement Finance Management Provide financial insights and negotiation support to procurement and operations teams, optimizing costs. Establish clear, efficient financial processes for managing vendor payments, reconciliations, and disputes. Strategic Support and Growth Initiatives Collaborate closely with sales and business development teams on pricing, cost estimation, and quotation accuracy. Provide strategic guidance and financial assessments for market expansion initiatives. Continuously identify and implement process improvements, automation, and efficiency enhancements in finance and accounting operations. Team Building & Leadership Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team aligned with GreenJams’ growth trajectory. Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, continuous learning, and financial discipline. Success Metrics Your success will be evaluated through: Timeliness, accuracy, and clarity in financial reporting and MIS. Effective management of cash flow, ensuring sustainable liquidity and optimized capital costs. Zero compliance breaches and timely completion of regulatory filings. Accuracy and strategic relevance of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis. Operational financial efficiency gains and cost reductions. High-quality financial insights enabling strategic decision-making and supporting business growth. Qualifications & Experience Professional Qualification: CA or CMA strongly preferred; MBA Finance or M.Com with exceptional relevant experience also acceptable. Experience: 5-7 years of experience in finance management, accounting, compliance, budgeting, and taxation. Prior experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial sectors preferred. Proven track record in financial planning, forecasting, cash flow management, regulatory compliance, and taxation. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple financial functions in a growth-oriented environment. Proficient in Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar ERP/accounting software, advanced Excel skills, and comfortable with digital financial tools.
