Key Responsibilities: Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement shipping strategies, plan logistics operations (including transportation and warehousing), and coordinate the movement of goods. Documentation: Prepare and verify shipping documents (bills of lading, packing lists, invoices), ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain accurate records. Negotiation and Cost Management: Negotiate freight rates with carriers and logistics providers, manage transportation costs, and identify opportunities for cost optimization. Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with shipping vendors, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other relevant parties. Compliance: Ensure all shipping activities adhere to company policies, industry standards, and relevant regulations. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment, working closely with other departments like production and sales. Problem Solving: Address any shipping issues or delays that arise, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
