Site engineer objectives: The role ensure that construction is executed according to plans, specification, within budget and timelines. to meet industry standards while contributing to the growth and efficiency of the organization. Roles & responsibility Planning, supervising, and organizing construction projects from initial site set-up to completion. Reviewing and preparing technical drawings, construction layouts, and cost estimates. Overseeing construction work, ensuring plans and schedules are followed, and supervising crew members and subcontractors. Ensuring compliance with safety, health, legal, and sustainability regulations. Managing and allocating construction resources — materials, labor, equipment — and negotiating with vendors. Communication and Collaboration: Liaising with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and project coordination. Documentation: Preparing reports, maintaining records, and ensuring proper documentation of all site activities. Time Management: Scheduling work, setting milestones, and managing time effectively to meet deadlines. The quantity surveyor will be tasked with analyzing existing budgets and making improvements, reviewing plans and preparing quantity estimates, negotiating with various contractors and vendors, as well as building relationships with clients and site managers. To be successful as a quantity surveyor, you should have a methodical approach and superb interpersonal skills. Outstanding quantity surveyors are not only great at analyzing costs, but they also know how to read people and tailor their negotiation strategies to ensure the best possible outcome. Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities: Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements. Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals. Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors. Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
