Job Brief: Globe International Carriers Limited is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager of Sales to lead our sales team across various levels - pan India, zonal, and regional, in the logistics sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and drive revenue growth nationwide. Responsibilities: Develop Sales Strategies: Formulate sales strategies to meet revenue targets and expand market share in the logistics industry. Sales Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying and pursuing opportunities for new business development. Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats. Use insights to refine sales strategies and tactics. Sales Planning and Forecasting: Develop sales plans and forecasts in collaboration with the senior management team. Monitor performance against targets and adjust strategies as needed. Sales Process Optimization: Streamline and optimize the sales process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices and tools to drive productivity. Revenue Management: Monitor pricing and discounting strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and finalize sales contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring terms are favourable for the company. Sales Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports and updates to the executive team, providing insights into sales performance and market trends. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in sales operations. Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred. Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in sales, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within the logistics or transportation industry. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team-building skills with a proven track record of effectively leading and developing sales teams. Strategic Thinker: Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that align with company objectives. Customer Focus: Customer-centric mindset with a focus on building and maintaining strong client relationships.
