Global Strategic Sourcing Manager

As a Manager - Global Strategic Sourcing in Mumbai, your primary responsibility is to lead sourcing initiatives for new and emerging technologies such as SD-WAN, IoT, Wi-Fi, and SIM/eSIM solutions. You will play a crucial role in New Product Introduction (NPI) and Development (NPD) sourcing, ensuring timely launch of differentiated products by engaging with global suppliers, collaborating cross-functionally, and managing the end-to-end sourcing process from early engagement to contract finalization. You will drive sourcing strategies across global markets for technology categories like IoT, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi infrastructure, connected devices, Network Services, and SIM/eSIM procurement. Collaborating closely with engineering, product management, and supply chain teams, you will act as a sourcing lead in cross-functional NPI/NPD programs to ensure supplier readiness for new product launches. Your role will involve overseeing the sourcing lifecycle of new technologies or products, from concept to mass production, focusing on supplier onboarding, cost targets, lead times, and quality metrics attainment. You will be responsible for leading end-to-end sourcing processes, including RFx creation, bid evaluations, supplier selection, negotiations, and award recommendation while ensuring compliance with corporate procurement policies and ethical standards. Furthermore, you will liaise with global business teams and engineering functions to translate product and service requirements into effective sourcing strategies. Building and managing relationships with global suppliers to drive performance, cost-effectiveness, and innovation will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will support and lead contract negotiations, monitor market trends for new suppliers and technologies, and drive cost optimization through smart sourcing and long-term supplier development strategies. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Management, with an MBA or equivalent being preferred. A minimum of 6 years of experience in global strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management roles, preferably in the telecom or technology-driven sectors, is required. Your key skills should include expertise in strategic sourcing, knowledge of technology categories, contract and commercial acumen, commitment to ethical procurement practices, and the ability to drive procurement activities with agility and execution ownership to meet tight NPI timelines.,
