Role Summary We are seeking an accomplished and analytical Head Finance and Accounts to oversee and lead financial operations at our Chennai office. This role is central to ensuring compliance, strategic planning, and financial discipline across the business as it continues to scale under the UDS umbrella. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the complete finance function including accounting, treasury, audit, taxation, and MIS. Prepare and present timely, accurate financial statements in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards and UDS Group policies. Develop budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses in collaboration with operations and corporate teams. Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Companies Act provisions. Strengthen and monitor internal controls, processes, and financial governance in alignment with UDS group standards. Liaise with statutory/internal auditors, banks, regulatory bodies, and tax consultants. Provide data-driven financial insights to support strategic decision-making by leadership. Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure. Drive improvements in ERP systems and reporting tools for efficiency and transparency. Build and lead a high-performing finance team and support their development. Qualifications & Experience Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent (CPA/CMA). 812 years of experience in finance and accounts, with at least 3 years in a leadership/controller role. Experience in aviation, logistics, facility management, or service-based businesses is preferred. In-depth understanding of Indian GAAP/Ind AS, tax laws, and compliance frameworks. Hands-on experience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Tally Prime. Proven ability to manage audits, budgets, and reporting within group/corporate structures.
